SUPREME Court.

No. 85.-It is hereby notified that a vacancy has occurred on the Urban Council necessitating an election.

Nomination of candidates to fill the vacancy are invited.

Each nomination must be in writing, signed by two electors, countersigned by the candidate and delivered in a sealed envelope addressed to the Presiding Officer at the Registry, Supreme Court, not later than 1 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, THE STH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1939.

Nomination forms may be obtained at the Registry, Supreme Court, where parts I and II of the register of electors referred to in section 3 of the Urban Council Ordinance, 1935, may be inspected.

It is the duty of candidates to satisfy themselves that nomination forms are correctly completed and duly signed by electors whose names appear in one or other of the two parts of the register of electors above referred to before delivery thereof to the under- signed.

This notification is gazetted pursuant to the Rules for the election of members of the Urban Council contained in Schedule C of the repealed Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, which said Rules remain in force by virtue of section 4 of the Urban Council Ordinance, 1935.
