Yangtze River South Channel Entrance.

Alterations in the Marking of the Shaohsing Wreck.

REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 518, notice is hereby given that the following alterations have been made in the marking of the Shaohsing wreck in the South Channel Entrance to the Yangtze River :-

The Shaohsing Wreck Outer and Inner Buoys have been discontinued.

A green Buoy, gas-lighted, showing an occulting white light every 8 seconds, thus:-

has been moored half a cable to the south-eastward of the wreck. From the Buoy, Tungsha Light-vessel bears N. 43° W., magnetic, distant 31 miles. This Buoy is to be known as the Shaohsing Wreck Buoy.

Approach to the Taku Bar.

Wreck.

NOTICE is hereby given that a lighter lies sunk in the approach to the Taku Bar, Gulf of Pechili. From the wreck, the Taku Light-vessel bears about S. 42° E., magnetic, distant 14 miles.

No. S. 317. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Lugard Road Extension", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 3rd day of December, 1918, for the extension of Lugard Road to Harlech Road (High West Gap).

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification, and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
