The most favourable track at present for vessels navigating in this vicinity is from 1 cable to the eastward of the Lower Crossing Buoy to a point 2 cables to the eastward of the Upper Crossing Buoy, and then to the north-eastward with Langshan Pagoda ahead on a bearing for a distance of about 12 miles, when the centre of the deep-water channel will be reached.
CAUTION.
Very strong cross-tidal sets may be expected when to the north-eastward of the Upper Crossing Buoy. As further shoaling of the Langshan Crossing may be expected, the vicinity should be navigated with caution.
