Note.--The Light will be unwatched. No further notice will be given. Remarks. The Signal Flashing Light with white and red sectors will be extinguished from about 25th April, 1918, in order that the necessary alteration in the apparatus may be carried out. In the interval a temporary Group Flashing Light with white and red sectors as defined above, showing two flashes every ten seconds, thus :--

The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The elevation given is the height of focal plane above high water.

Cape Forestier-Light (U) Established.

WITH reference to Notice No. 12 of 1917, Mariners and others are hereby notified that the Group Flashing Light with White and Red Sectors on Cape Forestier is now permanently established.

Position. On the summit of the rock locally known as "The Lemons" (260 ft.) the

extreme of Cape Forestier, Freycinet Peninsula.

Latitude, 42° 11' S.; Longitude, 148° 23′ E., on Chart 1079.

Structure.--Lantern 13 ft. high paintetl white, erected on the summit of the rock.

Character:-Group Flashing Light with White and Red Sectors showing four flashes

in quick succession every twenty seconds, thus :
