The following is published for general information :---
In future the procedure set out in Government Noti- fication No. 665 of 11th June, 1940, for the endorsement of orders for foodstuffs from the United Kingdom for con- signment to Hong Kong will apply only to grains (all) and vegetable oils other than groundnut, soya bean, cocoanut, cotton seed, plive, palm and palm kernel oils.
The import into Hong Kong of other foodstuffs from the United Kingdom will be subject to the issue of an appro- priate import licence under the hand of the Controller of Food. Full information as to the conditions of such a licence in respect of the various kinds of foodstuffs may be obtained from the Controller of Food.
