No. 1338.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. RONALD DARE GILLESPIE to be a Member of the Volunteer Advisory Committee in place of Mr. HARRY VAUGHAN WILKINSON, D.S.O., with effect from 4th December, 1940.

No. 1339.-With reference to Government Notification No. 88 of 9th February, 1934, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. LEONARD JOHN DAVIES, to be a Member of the Committee to administer the Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund of Hong Kong, vice Mr. HARRIE VAUGHAN WILKIN- SON, D.S.O., with effect from 9th December, 1940.

No. 1340.-It is hereby notified that Mr. ERIC MACDONALD BRYDEN resumed his appointment as a member of the Board of War Taxation on 11th December, 1940.

No. 1341.-lis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Miss EDNA SABINA ATKINS to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from 16th December, 1910.

No. 1342. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to make, under regulation 9 of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, the following appointment in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force :--
