ORDINANCE No. 9 of 1927. (PUBLIC REVENUE PROTECTION).
WHEREAS it is provided by section 2 of the Public Revenue Protection Ordinance, 1927, that if the Governor approves of the introduction into the Legislative Council of a bill or resolution whereby any duty, tax, fee, rate or other item of revenue would be imposed or altered if such bill or resolution were to become law, it shall be lawful for the Governor to make an order giving the full force and effect of the law to all the provisions of such hill or resolution as long as such order remains in force:
AND WHEREAS, I, Lieutenant-General EDWARD FELIX NORTON. Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath. Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, upon whom has been conferred the Decoration of the Military Cross, Officer Administering the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong and its dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same. have approved the introduction into the Legislative Council of the resolution hereto annexed :
AND WHEREAS the duty on certain hydrocarbon oils would be altered and would become the duty on light oils appearing in such resolution if the same become law:
