ORDINANCE No. 18 of 1935. (BUILDINGS).
No. 1134.-It is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has, under section 122 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, authorized blasting operatious to be conducted by Messrs. Marsman Hong Kong China Ltd., in the construction of Air Raid shelters at Beaconsfield Arcade and at Belchers Street below the Old Fort respectively, at all hours of the day or night.

(BOARDING-HOUSE).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Asiatic Emigration Ordinance, 1915, and by section 3 of the Boarding-house Ordinance, 1917, the "Governor in Council hereby further amends the Boarding-house Rules set forth on pages 715 to 726 of the Regulations of Hong Kong 1844-1925 as follows-
Amendments.
1. Add the following proviso at the end of rule 3— Provided that the Secretary for Chinese Affairs may, if he thinks fit in any case, require in lieu of such bond as aforesaid a cash deposit by the applicant of such amount of security as is specified in the Second Schedule for the class of boarding-house in respect of which the application is made, and the whole of such deposit shall be forfeited to the
