No. 1016. Ulis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. DAVID RONALD HOLMES to be an Assistant to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from the 9th September, 1940.

No. 1017.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under section 4 of the Midwives Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 22 of 1910, to appoint Dr. ANNIE SYDENHAM to be a Member of the Midwives Board for a further term of three years, with effect from the 14th October, 1940,

No. 1018.-Ilis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under section 3 (2) of the War Revenue Ordinance, 1940, to appoint Mr. JAMES LACHLAN MACINTYRE, C.A., and Mr. EDGAR GEORGE MATHIAS, A.C.A., to be Examiners, with effect from 11th September, 1940.

His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under Section 4 (1) of the Registration of Dentists Ordinance, Ordinance No. 1 of 1940, Dr. RUSSELL GLOVER SHANNON to be a member of the Dental Board during the absence from the Colony of Dr. CYRIL HERBERT BURTON, with effect from 1st July, 1940.

No. 1020. It is hereby notified that the following appointments to the Dental Board for the Colony of Hong Kong have been made pursuant to Section 4 (1) of the Registration of Dentists Ordinance, Ordinance No. 1 of 1940:

The appointments are for a period of three years from 1st July, 1940.
