(3) Any such white paint or material shall be maintained in a clean condition and unobscured:
Provided that this paragraph shall not apply to any vehicle on any occasion on which this order is in force merely for the purpose of experiment or practice as specified in paragraph 22.
14. A vehicle, while it is being used for the purposes of His Majesty's forces, may, whether it is in charge of those forces or not, display any lights required or authorized to be displayed by or under any general or special instructions of the naval. military or air authorities, and nothing in para- graph 13 shall apply in relation to any vehicle while it is being so used.
Vessels.
15. Upon receipt of an air raid warning, any vessel under way shall at once anchor or repair to the nearest safe anchorage having regard to the circumstances and there moor or anchor, and shall remain so anchored or moored until receipt of the RAIDERS PASSED signal.
Docks.
16.-(1) Lights to indicate obstructions at docks and the like may be used if they are so screened that no light is thrown on the ground, on adjacent surfaces, or on the water.
(2) In case of difficulty in docking or berthing a ship, docking or berthing lights may be used--
(a) if so screened that no light is thrown above the horizontal;
(b) if reduced in intensity as far as practicable; and (c) if extinguished immediately their use ceases to be
necessary.
(5) Lights may be used for loading and unloading ressels-
(a) if so screened that no light is thrown above the horizontal; and
(b) if reduced in intensity as far as practicable.
(4) Every light to which this paragraph applies shall be extinguished immediately upon receipt of an air raid warning and kept extinguished until receipt of the RAIDERS PASSED signal.
Aircraft and aerodromes.
17. Navigation lights may be displayed by aircraft or at aerodromes in accordance with instructions given by the Governor.
Miscellaneous.
18.--(1) Any light which is essential for the purpose of urgent rescue, demolition or repair work carried out by members of civil defence services or by the servants or agents of Government departments may be displayed-
