APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 811.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under Section 3 (2) of the War Revenue Ordinance, 1940, to appoint Mr. ARTHUR GRENFELL CLARKE to be an Assistant Commissioner in addition to his other duties, with effect from 17th July, 1940.

No. 812.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to approve the following promotions in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 2nd July, 1940:-
Captain JOHN PATRICK SHERRY to be Major.
Lieutenant WALTER CHARLES CLARK to be Captain. Sergeant RONALD SLEAP to be Second Lieutenant.

No. 813.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to make, under regulation 9 of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, the following appointments in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force :-

No. 814. It is hereby notified that Mr. SANGAR SUWANASRI, Thai Trade Agent at- Hong Kong, will be in temporary charge of the Thai Consulate-General, with effect from 20th July, 1940.
