ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of Section II of the Compulsory Service Ordinance. 1939, the Governor in Conneil amends regulation 1 of the Hong Kong Defence Reserve Regulations published as Government Noti- fication No. 828 in the Gazette of the 22nd September, 1939, as follows:

Amendment.

The following paragraph is added at the end of Regulation 1.

In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing provisions the Organizer may establish a section or sections in his group for compulsory training in elementary drill and in the use and care of firearms so as to fit its members for assignment by the Compulsory Service Tribunal to the combatant group of the Hong Kong Defence Reserve should occasion for such assignment arise

ORDINANCE No. 18 of 1935. (BUILDINGS).

It is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has, under section 122 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, author- ized blasting operations to be conducted at the wreck of the S.S. Yuet On lying off shore at 134 mile beach, Tsun Wan in the New Territories during the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (except on Sundays and public holidays), in addition to other hours during which blasts may legally be fired.
