No. 347.–His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Lieutenant- Commander JAMES JOLLY, R.Ñ.R., to be a Marine Magistrate, with effect from the 26th March, 1940.

No. 348.——Tlis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. EpwARD LOYD JONES to act as Senior Surveyor of Ships during the absence on leave of Mr. THOMAS EDWARD JACKSON, with effect from the 10th March, 1940.

To the Owner of Survey District I Lot No. 271.
No. 349.–Take notice that Survey District I Lot No. 271 is required for a public purpose and will be resumed on the expiration of one month from the date of the posting of this notice on the said land and that thereupon such compensation will be paid as may be awarded in the manner provided by the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900, as amended by the Crown Lands Resumption Amendment Ordinance, 1930, and further take notice that you are hereby called upon to nominate a member to serve on the Board of Arbitrators to determine the amount of compensation to be paid in respect of such resumption, and that in the event of your failing to nominate a member to serve on the Board within one week after the date of the expiration of this notice then the Chairman of the Board may nominate a member to serve on your behalf.
