5. The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Reports of the Finance Committee (No. 10) and (No. 1), dated 28th December, 1939, and 15th February, 1940, respectively, and moved its adoption.

6. The Colonial Secretary addressed the Council and moved :-
That this Council gratefully accept a free grant of £8,000 from the Colonial Development Fund for the purpose of the establishment in the Colony of a Fisheries Research Station.

7. The Colonial Secretary addressed the Council and moved :
That this Council approves generally the Report of the War Revenue Committee, published in Sessional Paper No. 1 of 1940, and accordingly resolves that the Government should proceed, as recommended in Chapter II paragraph 1 of the Report, with measures on the lines of the War Revenue Bill attached as an appendix to the Report.
