No. 239.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. EDWARD VICTOR HOPKINSON, M.P.S., Ph.C., to be a Pharmacist, with effect from 7th February, 1940.

No. 240.-- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. J. W. FITZGERALD, Acting Chief Officer, to be Acting Assistant Superintendent of Hong Kong Prison, with effect from 1st March, 1940, until further notice.
