PART VIII-STORAGE OF CATEGORY 2 DANGEROUS GOODS.

General Regulations.

56. In this Part, store means any premises specified in a valid licence to store Category 2 dangerous goods.

57. No store shall be directly in communication with any domestic premises.

58. Every store shall be well lighted, well ventilated, and kept cool.

59. Every store shall be kept locked except when goods are being delivered to or issued from the store.

60. No fire, matches, or artificial light, except electric lights enclosed in protective globes shall be kept or used in any store.

61. No goods of a highly combustible nature shall be kept in any store.

62. Every cylinder containing any Category 2 dangerous goods shall be labelled with the prescribed label.

63.(1) No store shall be used for the simultaneous storage of...

(a) oxygen and acetylene, or

(b) oxygen and hydrogen, or

(c) chlorine and coal gas, hydrogen, methane, or acety- lene.

(2) No cylinder containing chlorine shall be stored near sodium, potassium, phosphorous, copper leaf, powdered anti- mony, turpentine, ammonia, or sal ammoniac.

64. Every cylinder containing or used for the convey- or storage of Category 2 dangerous goods shall be maintained in such condition and conveyed in such manner as the Licensing Authority may direct.

Special Regulations.

CLASS 1.

65. Every cylinder shall be made of seamless steel, and shall be maintained in good condition.

66. The valve of every cylinder shall be securely closed To prevent leakage

67. No cylinder shall have a working or internal pres-- sure exceeding 1,800 pounds to the square inch.

68.—(1) Every cylinder containing carbon monoxide, coal gas, hydrogen, or methane shall be so designed as to protect the valve from damage, or shall be provided with a strong metal cap or cover enclosing the valve and securely attached to the cylinder.

(2) No part of any such cap or cover shall be in contact with any part of the valve.
