No. 207. His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :
Ordinance No. 40 of 1939.--An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding
Forty-nine million seven hundred and six thous- and seven hundred and eighty-seven Dollars to the Public Service of the financial year beginning on the 1st January, 1940, and ending on the 31st March, 1941, and also to apply an additional sum not exceeding Five hundred and fifty-nine thousand one hundred Dollars to the Waterworks Renewals and Improvements Fund for the service of that Fund in the said financial year.

No. 208.---With reference to Government Notification No. 582 dated 17th July, 1939, His Majesty the King has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Mr. ALEXANDER BRUCE PURVES, M. Inst. C.E., to be an Official Member of the Legislative Council, with effect from 7th July, 1939.

No. 209.-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Miss MARY ANN MUNRO MACKAY to be a Nursing Sister, with effect from 7th February, 1940.

No. 210.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint TERENCE KINGSMILL ABBOTT, M.B., B.S. (Sydney), D.P.H. (Lond.), to be a Health Officer, with effect from 13th February, 1940.
