Amendment
of Schedule IV.
(2) The following sub-paragraph shall be inserted after sub-paragraph (b):--
"(e) for prescribing the scales of charges at aerodromes and the fees to be paid in respect of the grant of any certificate or licence or any other matter."
5. The following amendments shall be made in Schedule I to the principal Order :-
(1) The following words shall be inserted at the end of paragraph 14:---
"The letters shall be without ornamentation and a hyphen shall be placed between the nationality mark and the registration mark."
(2) In paragraph 15 the last sentence shall be omitted.
(3) The following paragraph shall be substituted for paragraph 17-
"17.-(a) The width of each letter and the length of the hyphen between the nationality mark and the registration mark shall be two-thirds of the height of the letters and the thickness of the lines forming the letters and the hyphen shall be one-sixth of that height;
"(b) As nearly as the constructional features of the aircraft admit, each letter shall be separated from the letter which immediately precedes or follows it (the hyphen for this purpose being regarded as a letter) by a space equal to half the width of the individual letters; and

(c) In order to render the marks clearly legible the lines forming the letters and the hyphen shall be solid and of a uniform colour contrasting clearly with the background on which they are placed.'
(4) Paragraph 18 shall be omitted.
6. The following amendments shall be made in Schedule IV to the principal Order :--
(1) In sub-paragraph (4) of paragraph 17, sub-paragraph (e) shall be omitted.
(2) (a) The following title shall be substituted for the title of Section VI:-
“Special rules relating to aircraft on the surface or near the surface of the water.'
(b) In paragraph 49-
(i) The word "and" at the end of proviso (a) shall be omitted;
(ii) A comma shall be substituted for the full stop and the word and shall be inserted at the end of proviso (b); and
(b) :-
(iii) The following proviso shall be inserted after proviso

(c) Every aircraft in flight or in process of manœu- vring near the surface of the water shall as far as possible keep clear of all vessels and avoid impeding the navigation thereof."
A
