URBAN COUNCIL OFFICE.
No. S. 462.- In accordance with section 53 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect a Public Flush Latrine on a site at the eastern end of Lower Lascar Row, adjacent to the Central Theatre.
If any owner or occupier in the immediate vicinity of such site objects to such erection, the objection must be sent in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach his office not later than Friday, the 16th day of December, 1938.

GOVERNMENT STORES DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 463.–It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Boots", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 12th day of December, 1938, for the supply and delivery of Boots and Shoes required by Government Departments, including the H.K.V.D.C., for the year 1939.

Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt for the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50), which he has deposited with the Accountant-General, as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender. This deposit will be returned to the Tenderer later, whether his tender is accepted or not.
The successful Tenderer will be required to deposit the sum of One Hundred. Dollars ($100), with the Accountant-General, which sum will be forfeited to the Crown should the Tenderer refuse, or fail, to carry out to the satisfaction of the Government the whole or any part of the tender which may be accepted. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
Forms of tender and further particulars may be had on application to, and samples may be seen at, the Government Stores Department, Bullock Lane, Wanchai.
