HONG KONG NAVAL VOLUNTEER FORCE.

No. S. 287.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Alterations to H.M.S. Cornflower'", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Wednesday, the 7th day of September, 1938.

The work comprises-

Schedule "A"-Structural Alterations and Additions.

"

"B"-Sanitary Fittings.

"C"-Electric Fittings.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply to the Commanding Officer, Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, Bank of Canton Building (4th Floor).

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves to itself the option of accepting all or part of any tender.

No. 8. 288.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for a Refugee Camp, North Point", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 6th day of September, 1938, for erecting temporary wooden huts for sleeping, dining, kitchens, latrines and quarters, etc., surface water channels, drains, and fences, etc.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $2,000 with the Accountant-General.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.
