PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 271.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Reconstruction of Macdonnell Road Bridge", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 29th day of August, 1938. This contract comprises the demolition of the existing road bridge over the Peak Tram at Macdonnell Road and the construction of a new bridge in reinforced concrete, supported on granite columns and all other contingent work.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
The successful tenderer will be required to deposit the sum of $750 as security for the due and proper performance of the work.
