No. S. 247. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which must be clearly marked "Tender for Matsheds, Provisions, Stores, etc., Fanling Camp", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 15th day of August, 1938, for the supply and erection of Matsheds and the provision of Supplies, Stores, Labour, Messing, including the supply of Dining Tables, Forms, etc. The whole of the foregoing will be required by the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps during the period of their Annual Camps from 2nd to 6th November and again from 9th to 13th November, 1938.
Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt for the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150), which he has deposited with the Accountant-General, as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender. This deposit will be returned to the Tenderer later, whether his tender is accepted or not.
The successful Tenderer will be required to deposit the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) with the Accountant-General, which sum will be forfeited to the Crown should the Tenderer refuse, or fail, to carry out to the satisfaction of the Government the whole or any part of the tender which may be accepted. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
Forms of tender and further particulars may be had on application to the Adjutant, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, Garden Road.
