No. S. 207. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for New Locomotive Staff Quarters at Hung Hom ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 18th day of July, 1938, on behalf of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (British Section).
Drawings may be seen and the Specification and full particulars obtained by appli- cation to the Railway Head Office, Kowloon, on the deposit of a fee of $25, which will be refunded on the submission of a bona fide tender together with the return of the Specification intact. The deposit receipt must be attached to the tender.
The Contractor must attach to his Tender the schedule of quantities and prices, which shall be fully filled up and shall set forth the items of which such estimate is composed, and shall contain his complete estimate.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract in the usual form of Government Contracts, and to give security for the sum of $1,000 in cash to be deposited with the Accountant-General for the due and faithful performance of the terms of such contract.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

FIRE BRIGADE DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 208. It is hereby notified that tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Fire Fighting Equipment for Post Office Building", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 25th day of July, 1938.
The fire fighting equipment consists of the following:---
(1) 20 pairs of brass hose couplings complete with seizings to---
(2) 20—60 feet lengths of 14" diameter of best quality woven canvas fire hose. (3) 10 tapered copper branch-pipes with brass base and nozzle" diameter.
Overall length 12".
(4) 20 steel hose coupling spanners.
