No. S. 9.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Shelter for Bus Passengers at Queen Mary Hospital' will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 24th day of January, 1938. The work consists of the erection of a brick and reinforced concrete shelter for bus passengers.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $250 with the Colonial Treasurer, which sum will be retained for a period of six months from the date of completion of the works in lieu of the usual retention money.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
Firing practice will be carried out from Mount Davis from 0900 hours to 1400 hours on 10th, 12th and 14th January, 1938.
Alternative dates-18th and 20th January, 1938.
Firing Area "D" will be affected.
In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the Firing Area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the Firing Area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
