No. 496. The regulation made on the 9th April, 1915, by His Excellency the Governor under sub-clause (4) of clause III of the Order of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria in Council dated the 26th October, 1896, is hereby repealed.

Regulations made by His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government relating to the Control of the Harbours, Ports, and Territorial Waters of the Colony and the Movements of Vessels.

Port Regulations, 1918.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause 1 (A) of clause III of the Order of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria in Council dated the 26th day of October, 1896, as enacted by the Order of His Majesty in Council dated the 21st day of March, 1916, which Orders in Council were brought into operation in the Colony by Proclamations dated the 5th day of August, 1914, and the 12th day of May, 1916, respectively, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government is pleased to make the following regulations:

Wireless

1.-(1.) The use of wireless telegraphy of any description whatsoever is telegraphy. prohibited on board all vessels within the waters of the Colony.

(2.) Vessels fitted with wireless telegraph apparatus shall lower their aerial wires on arrival within the waters of the Colony and shall disconnect their aerial wires from the halliards and from the operation.room, except in the case referred to in paragraph (3) of this regulation.

(3.) If a master switch is fitted in the captain's cabin, upon arrival within the waters of the Colony the aerial wires shall be disconnected at the "leading in' insulators and shall be carried to earth near the same, and all head listeners shall be locked up in the captain's cabin. Upon the arrival of a police officer the master switch shall be sealed up under the direction of the police officer.

(4.) If there is no master switch in the captain's cabin, the wireless telegraph house shall be locked and sealed under the direction of the police officer.

(5.) No seal placed in accordance with the provisions of this regulation shall be removed without the permission of a police officer.

(6.) This regulation shall not apply to any British or allied vessel.

2. No vessel shall pass between, or otherwise obstruct or interfere with, mine

3. Except with the permission of the Harbour Master, no ocean-going ship entering and shall enter or leave the Port between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. leaving the
