Regulation made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under Section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 40 of 1912, this 19th day of ecember, 1918.

The Regulations Nos. 88a and 88b made by the Governor in Council on the 27th day of July, 1916, and the 28th day of December, 1916, respectively, and published in the Gazette on the 28th day of July, 1916, and the 29th day of December, 1916, as Government Notifications Nos. 324 and 561 are hereby rescinded.

No. 491.-His Majesty the King has not been advised to exercise his power of dis- allowance with respect to the following Ordinances :-

Ordinance No. 2 of 1918.-An Ordinance to repeal the Malay States Extradition

Ordinance, 1903.

Ordinance No. 9 of 1918.-An Ordinance to provide for the raising of a force the members of which shall be liable to service with His Majesty's Forces outside the Colony during the present war.

No. 492. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER SCHOFIELD to act as Second Assistant to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from the 2nd December, 1918.

No. 493. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to make the following appointments, with effect from the 11th December, 1918:-

Hon. Mr. CHARLES MOILVAINE MESSER, O.B.E., to act as Colonial Treasurer. Mr. EDWARD DUDLEY CORSCADEN WOLFE to act as Captain Superintendent of

Police.

Mr. JOHN ROSKRUGE WOOD to act as First Police Magistrate.

Mr. CHARES ALEXANDER DICK MELBOURNE to act as Second Police Magistrate. Mr. ROGER EDWARD LINDSELL to act as Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court.
