Regulations made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under Section 36 and Section 95 (e) of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, this 28th day of November, 1918.

1. Every person making or brewing beer shall be in possession of a brewery licence. granted by the Colonial Secretary in the Form A in the Schedule hereto or in such form as may be substituted therefor by the Governor in Council.

2. A brewery licence shall remain in force for one year from the date on which it is granted.

3. The fee for a brewery licence shall be $400 and shall be paid in advance to the Colonial Treasurer.

4. Every brewery shall be provided with one or more buildings or enclosures, con- structed to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, and all beer shall be brewed within such buildings or enclosures, and shall be stored therein until the proper duties have been paid in respect thereof.

5. After the completion of the process of manufacture all beer shall be kept clearly separated from other articles to the satisfaction of the Superintendent and in such man- ner as he shall direct and so as to permit the Superintendent or any revenue officer to ascertain readily the amount of the stocks of beer and to take samples thereof.

6. The licensee of every brewery shall permit the Superintendent, the Government Analyst, or any Revenue Officer to enter and inspect the brewery and shall further permit them from time to time to take for analysis samples of any beer or any materials used or capable of being used in the preparation thereof and found therein.

7. The licensee of every brewery shall keep a special book of foils and counterfoils, numbered consecutively, in a form to be approved by the Superintendent, and upon the issue of any beer from his brewery shall fill in upon a foil and counterfoil a descrip- tion of the beer issued, giving its quality, quantity, and price, and the name of the person or firm to whom such beer is delivered, and shall sign the foil and deliver it to the person receiving the beer.

8. No beer may be sold by the licensee or by any person acting on his behalf in a less quantity than 5 gallons.

9. Any person found in the possession of two gallons or more of any beer which appears to have been brewed in the Colony, and who does not hold a foil duly issued under the Regulation No. 7 in respect of such beer, and cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Superintendent that the proper duty has been paid in repect thereof, shall, in addition to any other penalty, be liable to pay the duty payable in respect of such beer.

10. The licensee of every brewery shall keep books to be entered daily shewing:-

(a) the amount of beer produced by each day's brewing;

(b) the manner in which such beer is disposed of.

11. The licensee of every brewery shall not later than noon on every Monday morn- ing furnish to the Superintendent a return in the Form B in the Schedule shewing the amount of beer brewed during the week and how such beer is disposed of.

12. Whenever the licensee of any brewery wishes to use or dispose of any beer for any purpose other than sale as beer for export or for local consumption he shall give 24 hours notice to the Superintendent.

13. All books kept by the licensee of a brewery shall at all times be open to the inspection of the Superintendent or any revenue officer.
