THE BERNE COPYRIGHT CONVENTION (DENUNCIATION BY LIBERIA) ORDER, 1929.
AT THE COURT AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE,
THE 15TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1929.
PRESENT:
THE KING'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS His Majesty, by virtue of the authority conferred on Him by the Copy-
right Act, 1911, (a) and having regard to the provisions of the revised Berne Copyright Convention of 1908, was pleased to make an Order in Council, dated the 24th day of June, 1912 (b) (hereinafter called the Principal Order), extending the protection of the said Act to certain classes of works to which protection is guaranteed by the said Convention; including works of which the country of origin is Liberia :
AND WHEREAS Liberia has given formal notice of denunciation of the said Convention, and such denunciation, in accordance with Article 29 of the Convention, will take effect from the 22nd day of February, 1930:
NOW THEREFORE, His Majesty, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, and by virtue of the authority conferred upon Him by the Copyright Act, 1911, is pleased to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. The Principal Order, in so far as it applies the Copyright Act, 1911, to works of which the country of origin is Liberia, is hereby revoked.
2. This Order shall take effect from the 22nd day of February, 1930.
3. This Order may be cited as the Berne Copyright Convention (Denunciation by Liberia) Order, 1929.
And the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury are to give the necessary orders accordingly.
