WATER SUPPLY.--The Director of Public Works addressed the Council and made a statement regarding the curtailment of the water supply.
GENENAL MILITARY SERVICE BILL. The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to provide for the raising of a force the members of which shall be liable to service with His Majesty's Forces outside the Colony during the present war.

On the notion of the Attorney General the following amendments were agreed to : In section 3 (c) (7), the words " or on any Government property unless with the consent of a public officer, or on any private property unless with the consent of the owner and of the occupier (if any) of such private property," were inserted after the words "public place" in the last line.

In section 19, the words unless the actual offender shall first have been prosecuted to conviction, were inserted after the words "actual offender" in the seventh line.
In section 20, the words whether the actual offender be prosecuted or not, inserted after the words "actual offender at the end of each of the three sub-sections.
