Amendment
10. Section 17 of the principal Ordinance is re-mum- bered as sub-section (3) of section 16 of the said Orli- nance, and is amended by the insertion of the word either" between the word "wearing" and the word "a" in the third line thereof, and by the insertion of the words for a current licence badge" between the word "thereon" and the word "and" in the fourth line thereof.
11. The following section is inserted in the principal Ordinance immediately before section 18 thereof and is numbered section 17:
Dangerous 17.-(1) If it appears to a magistrate on dogs.
complaint that any dog is dangerous and is 34 and 35
not kept under proper control the magistrate may make an order that the said dog be either destroyed or kept under proper control.

(2.) Such order may be made cither against the owner or against the person appearing to have the custody of the dog.
(3.) If the person against whom the order is made fails to comply therewith he shall he liable to a penalty not exceeding ten dollars for every day on which he fails to comply there- with.
12. Section 19 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of the figures and words 100 dollars. or to imprisonment without hard labour for any term not exceeding 14 days in the third and fourth lines thereof, and by the substitution therefor of the words. “two hundred and fifty dollars or to imprisonment for any term not exceeding three months”.
13. Section 20 of the principal Ordinance is amended of Ordinance by the deletion of the words without hard labour" in
the fifth line thereof.

14. Section 21 of the principal Ordinance is amended of Ordinance by the deletion of the figures and words 100 dollars, or to imprisonment, without hard labour, for any term not exceeding 14 days" in the seventh and eighth lines thereof and by the substitution therefor of the words **two hundred and fifty dollars or to imprisonment for any term not exceeding three months”.

17. Section 36 of the principal Ordinance is amended of Ordinance as follows :-- No. 1 of 1845, s. 36.
(a) The word "being" in the third line thereof is deleted and the words "having been" are substituted therefor.
(b) The words and figures "penalty not exceeding 100 dollars, or to imprisonment for any term not exceeding 14 days" in the sixth and seventh lines thereof are deleted and the words fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars er to imprisonment for any term not exceeding three months" are substituted therefor.
