Regulation made by the Governor in Council under sections 3 and 5 of the Tobacco Ordinance, 1916, Ordinance No. 10 of 1916, on the 13th day of February, 1929.

The First Schedule to the Tobacco Ordinance, 1916, set forth on pages 2444, 2445, and 2446 of Volume V of the Ordinances of Hong Kong, 1844-1923, as amended by the Regulation made by the Governor in Council on the 26th day of August, 1926, published by Notification No. 452 in the Hong Kong Government Gazette of the 27th August, 1926, is hereby further amended as follows:-

(a) In paragraph 1 under the heading "Manufacturers licence" by the deletion of all the words following the word "enclosures" in the fourth line of the said paragraph.

(b) By the deletion of paragraph 6 under the said heading and by the substitution.

therefor of the following new paragraph :-

6. The licensee shall permit the Superintendent, or any officer duly authorised by him, at all hours, both day and night, to enter and inspect the licensed premises and further shall permit him and them to draw samples for analysis, free of charge, of any tobacco or any material used, or capable of being used, in the preparation of manufactured tobacco and found therein.

The Superintendent, or any officer duly authorised by him, shall have access to all stockbooks and books of account in current use in the licensed premises, and shall be at liberty to make any minute therein, or any extract therefrom.

(c) by the deletion of the word "dutiable" in the fourth line of paragraph 7

under the said heading.

(d) by the deletion of paragraph 8 under the said heading and the substitution

therefor of the following new paragraph:--

8. No licensee shall have on his licensed premises any material capable

of being used as a substitute for, or adulterant of, tobacco.

(e) by the deletion of paragraph 9 under the said heading.
