It is hereby notified that the following Club has been exempted by the Governor in Council from registration under the Societies Ordinance, 1911, (Ordi-. nance No. 47 of 1911), and its name is hereby added to the List of Exempted Societies, published in Government Notification No. 185 of 1917, under the following heading :-

Indian Muslim Society.

Order made by the Governor in Council under Section 9 sub-section 1 of the Post Office Ordinance, 1900, Ordinance No. 6 of 1900, this 7th day of February, 1918.

It is hereby notified that on and after the 15th February, 1918, the rate on a single postcard despatched from the Colony of Hongkong to any Chinese Post Office or British Postal Agency in China is 14 cents.

No. 49. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Captain M. S. NORTHCOTE (Retired list) to the command of "D" Company of the Hongkong Defence Corps, with effect from the 1st February, 1918.

No. 50. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Captain CYRIL CHAMPKIN (late Calcutta Rifles) to be a Captain in the Hongkong Defence Corps, with effect from the 1st June, 1916.

Permanent passes and Permits to enter Hongkong with photographs attached, issued by the Captain Superintendent of Police, will be accepted as credentials."
