NOTE (3).-Rule 37, published in the Gazette of the 8th December, 1916, prohibits the exportation of silver dollars and silver bullion, and Rule 38, published in the Gazette of the 4th May, 1916, prohibits the exportation of Chinese cash except to China.
NOTE (4).-There are special restrictions on exportation to Switzerland. See the Gazette of the 7th December, 1917.
NOTE (5). The exportation of the goods mentioned in the above Schedule is prohibited as follows:-
(1) Goods marked (A), to all destinations;
(2) Goods marked (B), to all ports and destinations abroad other than ports and destina-
tions in the United Kingdom and British Possessions and Protectorates;
(3) Goods marked (c), to all destinations in foreign countries in Europe and on the Mediterranean and Black Seas, other than France and French Possessions, Russia, Italy and Italian Possessions, Spain and Portugal, and to all ports in any such foreign countries, and to all Russian Baltic ports;
(4) Goods marked (D), to all ports and destinations other than ports and destinations in the United Kingdom, British Possessions and Protectorates, France and French Possessions, Russia, and Italy and Italian Possessions, and to all Russian Baltic ports;
(5) Goods marked (E), to all ports and destinations other than ports and destinations in
the United Kingdom.
(6) Goods marked (F) to all ports and destinations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the
Netherlands.
NOTE (6).--Application may be made to the Superintendent of Imports and Exports for informa- tion as to the conditions on which special licences will be granted for the exportation of prohibited articles.

Amendment of the Statutes of the University of Hongkong made by the Court of the University on the 28th day of November, 1917, under Section 14 of the University Ordi- nance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, and allowed by the Governor in Council on the 10th day of January, 1918.
Statute 2 of the Statutes of the University of Hongkong contained in the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, is amended by adding after the words "The Teaching Staff of the University" the words "The Wardens of Hostels".

No. 10. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to re-appoint, under Section 9 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, the Honourable Mr. CLAUD SEVERN, C.M.G., to be Chairman of the Licensing Board for a further term of three years, with effect from the 1st February, 1918, and to appoint the Honourable Mr. EDWARD DUDLEY CORSCADEN WOLFE to act as a Member of the Board during the absence on leave of Mr. ROBERT OLIPHANT HUTCHISON or until further notice, with effect from the 9th January, 1918.
