No. 587. With reference to Government Notification No. 580 of the 17th October,、 1928, concerning the issue of $2,000,000 Hong Kong Currency six per cent Bonds to Bearer being the remainder of the $5,000,000 Loan authorised by the Public Works Loan Ordinance, 1927, it is hereby notified that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. CHALONER GRENVILLE ALABASTER, K.C., O.B.E. (Chairman), the Honourable Mr. CHARLES MCILVAINE MESSER, O.B.E., and Mr. VANDELEUR MOLYNEUX GRAYBURN to form a Board to consider applica- tions and to allot the Bonds.

No. 588. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been. pleased to appoint Mr. Joux SUTHERLAND MACLAREN to be an Assistant to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from 18th October, 1928.

No. 589. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERNEST PHILIP HENRY LANG to act as Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court, with effect from 11th October, 1928.

No. 590.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under the provisions of Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate Mr. WONG TAK-KWONG as a member of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a period of three years, with effect from this date.

No. 591.-Ilis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under the provisions of Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate Mr. SUM PAK-MING as a member of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a period of three years, with effect from this date.
