Hong Kong Weather Reports.

No. 213. With reference to Government Notification No. 113 of 1928, and Nos. 111 and 297 of 1927, the following arrangements for transmitting weather reports to and from the Royal Observatory, Hong Kong, will come into force from the 1st June, 1928.
The 800 metre service with G.O.W. will cease, and the 600 metre service with V.P.S. will be resumed.
In addition, V.P.S. will keep a continuous watch on 2400 metres for the reception of both weather reports and commercial messages, V.P.S. will reply on 2800 metres C.W., unless I.C.W. is requested.
G.O.W. will be retained for Telephony on 300 metres and will broadcast weather reports by this means at 0430 and 1145 G.M.T.
Typhoon Warnings will be broadcast by V.P.S. on 600 metres at 18 minutes past every hour and by G.O.W. on 300 metres Telephony at 48 minutes past every hour.
The Time Signals will be transmitted by V.PS. on a 2000 metre wave I.C.W., as at present.
The 800 metre weather reports at 0400 and 1200 G.M.T., now transmitted by G.O.W., will be transmitted on 600 inetres by V.P.S. and repeated at 0500 and 2800 metres I.C.W., and at 1300 on 2000 metres I.C.W.; immediately following the Time Signal.
