An Ordinance to amend the Pensions Ordi-

nance, 1862.

[10th April, 1928.]

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pensions Short title. Amendment Ordinance, 1928.

2. The following section is inserted in the Pensions Insertion of Ordinance, 1862, immediately after section 3 thereof :-

3A. Every judge and every other public No. 2 of other officers officer, whenever appointed, shall retire from 1862.

the service upon attaining the age of sixty years unless the Governor in Council decides that his services shall be retained.

3. Nothing contained in section 2 of this Ordinance Saving. shall be construed as requiring the compulsory retire- ment at the age of sixty years of any judge or other public officer who had attained that age before the commencement of this Ordinance.
