No. 121.-His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :---

Ordinance No. 7 of 1926.-An Ordinance to amend the law relating to the

Post Office.

Ordinance No. 22 of 1927.-An Ordinance to further and protect the activities of the Boy Scouts Association, and to incorporate the Hong Kong Branch thereof.

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 122.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint JAMES DENISON DANBY, Esquire, to be a member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, vice FRANCIS ARTHUR WELLS, Esquire, resigned.

No. 123. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S,O., R.N., to act as Harbour Master and Mr. THOMAS WILLIAM HAROLD HOSEGOOD to act as Deputy Harbour Master, with effect from 3rd March, 1928.

No. 124.

Regulation made by the General Officer Commanding the Troops, with the approval of the Governor, under and in accordance with the provisions of section 11 of the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920, Ordinance No. 2 of 1920, on the 3rd day of March, 1928.

The regulations contained in the First Schedule to the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920, amended as appears in Government Notifications Nos. 297 of 1926 and 749 of 1927, and as amended by section 2 of the Volunteer Amendment Ordinance, 1927, are hereby further amended by the insertion, next after regulation 7, of the following sub-heading and regulation,-

COURSES.

7A.—(1) Subject to paragraph (3) of this regulation, an officer whose attendance for a course of training or instruction, in the United Kingdom, with some unit or at a school of instruction, has been approved by the General Officer Commanding the Troops, will be allowed twenty shil- lings for each day of such attendance, together with necessary travel- ling expenses, in the United Kingdom, to commence the course and to return thereafter.
