NOTICE TO MARINERS.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Light-house known as the Regent Light-honse, at the bar of the River Menam, will be closed for repairs from the 15th November 1906, and the light therefrom will not be exhibited from the 15th November 1906, till further notice.
In place of the light exhibite from the Regent Light-house a Fixed White Light will from and after 15th November 1906, be shown from a white painted bnoy boat which will be anchored about one cable South East from the said Regent Light-house. The height of this temporary light will be 25 fect above water.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT.
No. 885.-Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 19th of November, 1906, for the supply of Aerated Waters; Bedding and Clothing; Beer, Spirits, Wines, &c.; Chemicals, Drugs, Surgical Instruments and Sundries; Coal; Furniture, &c.; Milk, &c., Provisions; Sundries; and Washing; (Schedules Nos. 1 to 10), required locally, to this Department, for the period of one year, from the 1st of January next.
Tenders may be made for all 10 Schedules, or for each separately.
Tenders must be in duplicate and in sealed envelopes, endorsed "Tenders for Civil Medical Department Contract.”
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $200, as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall he forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
The Contractor will be required to enter into a bond for the due fulfilment of his con- tract, and for the supply of all articles of the best quality.
The Contractor for Schedule No. 8 will be required to supply store accommodation ample enough for the housing of provisions, and such store must be kept in a sanitary con- dition.
The Contractor for Schedules Nos. 7 and 8 will be required to deliver the supplies for the Vicioria Hospital for Women and Children at the Hospital on Barker Road (Peak).
The Contractor for Schedule No. 10 will be required to collect the bedding and clothing at the Civil Hospital, and the Victoria Hospital for Women and Children on Barker Road (Peak), returning the same to these institutions when washed.
Except where otherwise stated, the Contractor will be required to deliver all supplies at the Civil Hospital.
The Contractor will be required to deliver all supplies, &c., free from any additional charge, beyond that stated in his tender.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

All other information may be obtained from the Principal Civil Medical Officer at the Civil Hospital.
