GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION. - - No. 155.

Information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under:-

On Wednesday, 3rd January, 1906:-

From Wong-nei-chong on to Round Island and Middle Island, at ranges up to 8,000

yards, commencing at 11.00 a.m., and finishing at 12 noon.-

On Thur-lay, 4th January:

mencing at 10 a.m., and finishing at 11 a.m.

On Friday, 5th January:-

From Eastern Defences, towards entrance to Junk Bay and towards Waglan, at ranges

up to 6,000 yards, commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 12 noon.

On Saturday, 6th January-

From Eastern Defences, towards entrance to Junk Bay, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,

commencing at 2.30 p.m., and finishing at 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, 10th January:-

From Eastern Defences, towards entrance to Junk Bay, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,

commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 12 noon.

On Thursday, 11th January :-

From Eastern Defences, towards entrance to Junk Bay, and towards Waglan, at ranges

up to 6,000 yards, commencing at 2.30 p.m., and finishing at 5 p.m.

On Friday, 12th January:-

From Eastern Defences and Kowloon East, towards Waglan, at ranges up to 14,000

yards, commencing at 10 a.m., and finishing at 12 noon.

On Monday, 15th January:-

From Stonecutters Island, Westerly direction, at ranges up to 8,000 yards, commencing

at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 11 a.m.

From Eastern Defences, (Night Firing), towards entrance to Junk Bay, at ranges up

to 4,000 yards, commencing at 6.45 p.m., and finishing at 9 p.m.

If the weather is unfavourable on either of the above dates, practice will take place as follows:-

Practice of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th-Monday 8th.

of 10th, 11th, and 12th-Saturday 13th.

All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.
