Lemery Characteristic of Light Changed.
THE small fixed red light on about 30 yards back from beach marking anchorage at Lemery and Taal, Balayan Bay, has been replaced by a fixed red large lens lantern. light is visible over an are of 155° from X. 29° W. to S. 4° E., and from a distance of seven (7) miles. Position and height remain as formerly.

Approach to the Yung River.
Shoal Found,
NOTICE is hereby given that a shoal has been found to the south-eastward of Tayusan in the approach to the Yung River. A least depth of 17 feet was obtained in a position from which Nemesis Rock Beacon bears N. 343° W., distant 175 cables. Other depths obtained showed that the channel in this vicinity had shoaled by 3 to 4 feet from those shown on British Admiralty Chart No. 1592.
All bearings given are magnetic, and depths are those of low water of spring tides.

LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS, No. 182.
Removal of Floating Aids to Navigation for the Winter. NOTICE is hereby given that the Lightship Taku; the Entrance Buoy and Bar Light- boat marking the Taku Bar Channel and the Spit Lightboat will be withdrawn for the winter on or at any time after the 1st December, 1917, and will be replaced by Black Painted Spar Buoys.
On the removal of the Spit Lightboat the lighting of the River Mouth Leading Marks will be commenced.
