NOTICE is hereby given that COPE BROS.

& CO., LIMITED, of 10, Lord Nelson Street. Liverpool, England, and other places. Tobacco Manufacturers, have on the 7th day of August 1906 applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks :-

No. 1. Consists of a label of three panels of equal height. The middle panel which is narrower contains the dis- tinctive word "Touchstone". The left panel contains the representation of a man in the conventional dress of a Jester with some trees in the background and the word "Touch- stone in the upper part. The right hand panel contains a similar figure of a Jester leaning across a bar in the middle of the label upon which appears the word "Touchstone". the foot of the panel is the name and addresses Cope Bros & Co., Ltd.. Liverpool & London”.

upper part the word "Cross

upon

an ornamental scroll beneath which is the representation of a decoration in the form of a Cross. At the foot upon a scroll is the name Cope Bros. & Co., Ltd., Liverpool & Lon- don" and around the label are small representations of flowers,

in the name of Cope Bros. & Co., Limited, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Marks have been used by the applicants in respect of the following goods :---

CIGARETTE of 18, Bank Buildings, Hongkong, and No. 9A, Nanking Road, Shanghai, China; Tobacco Manufacturers, have on the 8th day of August, 1906, applied for the registration in Hong kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks :—-

Trade Mark consists of a panel contain- ing a pictorial representation of two gold cash, the one on the right over- lapping the other. From the holes in the centre of the cash protrude two partisans and above the double cash is a rosette with cords passing down to a golden ornament and ter- minating in tassels on the right and left of the design. Below this portion of the design is a golden flower with four leaves.

Trade Mark consists of a label of one

panel bearing a design, in Japanese style of art, of a Full Moon in a dark

sky. Five geese flving appear in the upper part of the panel, and the out- line of a range of mountains, with trees indicated, form the lower part of the paucl. The distinctive words

Full Moo in English are under the dise of the Moon in the design. The disc of the Moon bears the words *Full Moon in Oriental characters. On the right side of the panel the words Full Moon Mouthpiece Cigarettes, best in the world British Cig. Co., Ltd." appear. Between the Jast mentioned printing and the disc of the Moon are Chinese characters which represent 20 cigarettes en- closed. This Chinese lettering is repeated on the left hand side of the moon disc,

in the name of the BRITISH CIGARETTE COMPANY LIMITED, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Marks are intended to be used by the applicants forthwith in respect of the following goods : —

Manufactured Tobacco, in Class 45. Facsimiles of the Trade Marks can be seen at the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong.
