With reference to Government Notification No. 857 of the 12th instant, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Lieutenant CHARLES WILLIAM BECKWITH, R.N., to act as Harbour Master, Marine Magistrate, Emigration and Customs Officer, Superintendent of Gunpowder Depôt, Collector of Light Dues and Superintendent of Imports and Exports, in succession to EDWARD JONES, with effect from the 20th instant.

It is hereby notified that the VICTOR TALKING MACHINE COMPANY of the State of New Jersey of Camden in the State of New Jersey, United States of America, have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 209 of 1906, as applied to Talking machines, talking machine parts and talking machine records, in Class 9; and that the same has been duly registered.
