(c), a corporation which is by any other means, whether of a like or a different character, in fact under the control directly or indirectly of enemies or enemy subjects or corporations under enemy control or

(d), a corporation the executive whereof is

"corporation which falls within the terms of paragraphs (4), (b) or (e) of this definition, or is an enemy.

"Enemy", except in the term alien enemy", means:-- (a) any natural person who is or is treated as an enemy under any Act of Parliament, Order, in Commeil, Royal Proclamation, or Ordinance, for the time being in force; or

(b) any corporation which is or is treated as an enemy under any Act of Parliament, Order in Conncil, Royal Proclamation, or Ordinance, for the time being in force; or

(e) any firm, or other composite person other than a corporation, any member of which is or is treated as an enemy under any Act of Parlia- mont, Order in Council, Royal Proclamation, or Ordinance, for the time being in force.

"Enemy subjeet * means a subject of a State for the time being at war with His Majesty, and includes a body corporate constituted, according to the laws of such a State.

"Immovable property "includes every right and every interest, whether legal or equitable, in, to or arising out of immovable property,

"Legal proceeding” includes an arbitration, and refer- ences to the bringing of legal proceedings against any persons shall in the case of arbitrations be construed as referring to the commencement of arbitrations to which such persons would be parties. meaus any natural person, company, firm, or association or body of persons corporate or unincor- porate.

"Person

Property " includes every right or interest whatsoever

in, to or arising out of any property.

"Property under prohibited control" meaus any pro- perty which is held wholly or partly by or for or on behalf of or in trust for or for the benefit of or subject to the control of an enemy or an enemy subject or a corporation under enemy control or any person who but for the conclusion of any peace- inade in relation to the present w-r would be au enemy or an enemy subject or a corporation under enemy control.

3. Section 4 of the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Amend- ment Ordinance, 1915, is amended by the insertion of the words "or on account of any similar reason at the end thereof.

4. Section 5 of the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Ordi- of Ordinance nance, 1915, is amended by the insertion of the words "or No. 11 of

other legal proceeding" between the word "action" and the word "brought" in the third line thereof, and by the addition of the words "or on account of any similar

appoint a liquidator

in certain special cases and to give directions for the disposal

5.-(1.) The power of appointing a liquidator conferred on the Governor by section 5 of the principal Ordinance shall be deemed to include and at all times to have included the following powers:-

(a.) Power to appoint a liquidator of the trade or personal affairs of any alien enemy whether sneh alien enemy has ever been in the Colouy

or not.

(b) Power to appoint a liquidator of the trade or personal affairs of any person any of the pro- perty of whom was for any purpose whatsoever in the possession custody or control of any person whose trade or personal affairs a liqui- dator has been appointed to wind up.
