Nogas Island.

MANILA

January 18, 1917.

The sixth order occulting white light on Nogas Island, south-western coast of Panay, was replaced January 17, 1917, by an automatic acetylene gas light, showing one white flash every 10 seconds. Position, height, arc and range of visibility remain the same.

The bearings are given

The Astronomical positions are only approximate unless seconds are given. both True and Magnetic, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The heights given are heights of focal plane above high water.

Inner Barrier Route.

Ar (r) and Pea (p) Reefs-Beacons re-established.

WITH reference to Notice to Mariners No. 4 of 1916, Mariners and others are hereby notified that the beacons on Ar (r) and Pea (p) reefs which were recently destroyed, are now re-established.

(a) Position.--On the northern side of Ar (r) reef. Lat. 14° 32' South; Long..

144° 55' East.

Description.-A red triangular beacon.

(b) Position.-On the eastern end of Pea (p) reef. Lat. 13° 32' South; Long..

143° 391 East.

Description.--As in (a).
