Regulations made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under Section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 40 of 1912, on the 22nd day of November, 1917.
The Regulations made by the Governor in Council under Section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, on the 6th April, 1916, and published in the Gazette on the 7th April, 1916, as Government Notification No. 141 as amended by the Regulation made by the Governor in Council on the 27th April, 1916, and published in the Gazette on the 28th April, 1916, as Government Notification No. 168 and as further amended by the Regulation made by the Governor in Council on the 27th July, 1916, and published in the Gazette on the 28th July, 1916, as Government Notification No. 324 and as further amended by the Regulation made by the Governor in Council on the 2nd November, 1916, and published in the Gazette on the 3rd November, 1916, as Government Notification No. 472 and as further amended by the Regulation made by the Governor in Council on the 28th December, 1916, and published in the Gazette on the 29th December, 1916, as Government Notification No. 561 are hereby amended as follows:-
1. In Regulation 7 by adding after the word "March" in the fourth line thereof the words "In the case of private rickshas of the class known as Tsz Yung Che the licence fee shall be payable in advance on the 1st January, 1st April, 1st July, and 1st October".
2. In Regulation 9 by adding after the words "annual licences" in the first line thereof the words "except in the case of private rickshas" and by adding at the end of such regulation "annual licences for private rickshas shall com- mence on the 1st January ".
3. In Regulation 10 by adding after the word vehicle" in the first line thereof the words "except private rickshas other than those known as Tsz Yung Che".

4. In Regulation 11 by adding the words "and private" after the word "public
in the first line thereof and by adding after the word "vehicle" in the first line thereof the words "except private rickshas other than those known as Tsz Yung Che".
5. In Regulation 41 by adding the words "and private" after the word "public"
in the first line thereof.
6. By adding the following regulation after Regulation 41 :-
"41A.-All private rickshas of the class known as Tsz Yung Che () shall be marked on the back with the characters (E) together with the licence number to the satisfaction in all respects of the Captain Superintendent of Police."
7.--(1.) In Table A under the heading "Licences" by adding after "1 (a)" and (b)" in the columns marked "Vehicles", "Term ", and "Fee" respectively the following:-
"1A. Private Rickshas:--
(a.) Private rickshas known as Tsz Yung
Che (自用車),
(b.) Other private rickshas,
One year.
