JURY AMENDMENT BILL. The Attorney General moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend further the Jury Ordinance, 1887.

The Attorney General moved the suspension of the Standing Orders so that the Bill might be read a second and third time.

The Attorney General then addressed the Council and moved the Second reading of the Bill.

On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment and moved that it be read a third time.

HONGKONG POLICE RESERVE BILL. The Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend the Special Police Reserve Ordinance, 1914, and to remove doubts as to the effect of procla- mations made under section 10 of the said Ordinance was withdrawn.

ADJOURNMENT.--The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 27th day of September, 1917.
