NOTICES.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 432.-It is hereby notified for general information that persons travelling to or through Norway should be provided with passport vised by the Norwegian Legation or Norwegian Consul en carrière for the district in which the passport had been issued or by other Norwegian Consul authorized by the Foreign Office to do so.

No. 433.-It is hereby notified for general information that aliens travelling to or through Denmark should be provided with passports.

The passport should contain the full name and description of the holder, his profes- sion, of which country he is a citizen, his domicile, the purpose of his journey and the probable duration of his stay in the country.

The passport should further contain photo and specimen signature of the holder both certified by the authority who issued the passport.

No. 434.-With reference to Government Notification No. 380, published in the Gazette of the 24th August, 1917, the following list of goods exempted from the regula- tions governing the importation of goods into Russia is now published for general information.

TRANSLATION.

1. Cereals in grains of very description (with the exception of Rice), peas and beans (with the exception of Small Peas and Beans imported in fresh or dried state). Gen. Tar. art. 1.

2. Flour, malt and oatmeals of every kind (except the Fecula of Potatoe)

(d) chicory in dried or not dried roots, non-torrefied, unprepared,

6. Meat, salted, smoked, dried, sausages.

7. Fish and caviar, fresh, except Turbot, Sole and Trout. Remark: here follow regulations referring to the coasting trade in fish in the North of Russia (White Sea Ports) which have no local significance. Tar. art. 37.

8. Provisions not specially mentioned; alimentary products specially prepared for animals.

9. Cattle, animals of every kind not specially mentioned in the Cust. Tar. Re- Pigeons of any kind cannot be imported except with an authorisation delivered.
