The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 32ins 66 on 18 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 2500s 98 on 15 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 25 17 on 20 days.

The rainfall at the Observatory, 30075 inches, was the greatest on record for July, It has been exceeded in other months, the previous record being 28:235 inches in 1886. however, 1881 inches fell in May, 1889, 34:375 inches in June, 1892, and 30595 inches in September, 1906.
The greatest hourly fall was 2:365 inches, between 130 and 230" a.m. on the 15th. This has been exceeded on two occasions in July, 1886, 348 inches, and 1910, 2:55 inches,
From 29-3 a.m. to 30%-5" The heaviest rainfall on record occurred in May, 1889. p.m., 33:11 inches fell, of which more than 16 inches fell in the 7 hours ending 6.30 a.m. on the 30th.
