The Minutes of the last Meeting, held on the 25th May, 1917, were confirmed.

NEW MEMBER. -Mr. DODWELL took the oath and assumed his seat as a Member of the Council.

REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.-The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee (No. 5), dated the 25th May, 1917, and moved its adoption.

AMENDMENT OF THE CEMETERIES BY-LAWS.-The Colonial Secretary moved the approval of the By-laws made by the Sanitary Board on the 29th day of May, 1917, under Section 16 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, in substitution for By-laws Nos. 19 and 20 contained in Schedule B of the aforesaid Ordinance.

The Attorney General seconded.

QUESTIONS.--Mr. POLLOCK, pursuant to notice, asked the following question :-

Is the Government taking any, and, if so, what steps to provide the public with bathing facilities

at North Point and West Point as in prerions years?
