No. 266.--His Excellency the Governor has given his assent, in the name and on behalf of His Majesty the King, to the following Ordinances passed by the Legislative Council:-
Ordinance No. 14 of 1917.--An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum of Two hundred and ninety- one thousand two hundred and seventy-three Dollars and ninety-seven Cents to defray the Charges of the year 1916.
Ordinance No. 15 of 1917.—An Ordinance to amend the law relating to trading with the enemy and the export of prohibited
goods.
Ordinance No. 16 of 1917.—An Ordinance to repeal the North Borneo Extradi-
tion Ordinance, 1896.
Ordinance No. 17 of 1917.—An Ordinance to amend further the War Loan
Ordinance, 1916.
Ordinance No. 18 of 1917.--An Ordinance to provide for a temporary increase in the rates for the special purpose of increasing the contributions of the Colony to His Majesty's Government towards the expenses of the present
war.

An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum of Two hundred and ninety-one thousand two hundred and seventy- three Dollars and ninety-seven Cents to defray the Charges of the year 1916.

WHEREAS it has become nccessary to make further pro- vision for the public service of the Colony for the year 1916, in addition to the charge upon the revenue of the Colony for the service of the said year already provided
for:
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :---
A sum of Two hundred and ninety-one thousand two hundred and seventy-three Dollars and ninety-seven Cents is hereby charged upon the revenue of the Colony for the service of the year 1916, the said sum so charged being expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say :-
